Fault String without a package or object reference error using SVMotion

Issue:

After issuing SVMotion command the following error occurs.

Can't call method "fault_string" without a package or object reference at

C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware VI Remote CLI\bin\svmotion.pl line 171.

                     

In Virtual Center you find the following error

Virtual disk ‘Hard Disk 1’ is not accessible on the host:

Unable to access file. [datastore_1]

 

Cause:

The source or destination database store is not available on the ESX Host.

 

Solution:

Using the VI Client

1)      Determine which ESX Host the virtual machine is assigned to

2)      Then review the list of datastores assigned to that ESX Host.

a.       Check for the missing datastore used in the SVMotion command.  Correct the issue as needed.
