Your session with the vmware update manager server is no longer valid

Issue:

You receive the following error message, and the Update Manager client is set to disabled in the VI Client.

 

You session with the VMWare Update Manager Server is not longer valid.  The VMWare Update Manager Client plugin will be unloaded from the VI Client.

 

 

 

Cause:

This issue is limited to the Update Manager Client that comes with vCenter Server 2.5.  This includes any of the vCenter 2.5 update. (2.5U3 – 2.5U6).

 

Solution:

Upgrade to vCenter 4.x, VMWare has resolved this issue, by allowing the Update Manager Client to reconnect automatically.
